Japanese company Fast Retailing Co says it will open its first three stores in South Korea on 2 September through joint venture FRL Korea Co.

The stores, two of which will be located in Seoul and one in Incheon, near Seoul, are part of Fast's push to boost its foreign operations.

Fast established FRL Korea in conjunction with South Korean retailer Lotte Shopping Co last  December.

Fast Retailing, which operates the Uniqlo chain of clothing stores, last year said it will open between 20 and 30 stores on the South Korean market within the coming three-five years, hoping to make annual sales of JPY10 billion there.
