US-based software firm Fasturn Inc today announced the setting up of a new group to address issues and find solutions for problems facing the apparel industry around the world

Consisting of apparel industry experts from leading manufacturers and retailers, the Industry Solutions Group will be responsible for focused research with apparel industry executives.

Fasturn's customers include Abercrombie & Fitch, Ann Taylor, Brooks Brothers, JC Penney, Talbot's, Jordache. Its software enables retailers and manufacturers to model and manage global processes as though they were a virtual local factory.

Fastturn chief executive officer, William Seagrave, said: "This new group of industry experts will focus on value-added discussions with individual industry executives. Fasturn's Industry Solutions Group will work with these chief executives and their teams to define new problems to be tackled and validate new solutions to be implemented."
