Italian sportswear firm Fila Holding SpA on Friday revealed it had agreed a sponsorship and licensing deal with motorcycle manufacturer Ducati Corse Srl for a new range of branded apparel and footwear.

The Biella-based firm said the two year agreement will run from January and includes an exclusive world licence for Fila to use the "Ducati Corse" brand to develop and market garments, footwear and accessories for sport and leisurewear.

Fila said two new collections will be developed, the first will be based on Superbike team apparel and aimed at young people while the second will be based on MotoGP team apparel designed for "authentic enthusiasts and metropolitan bikers".

The collections will be available from various retail outlets and the companies' two online stores.
