Sportswear and athletic shoe company Fila USA on Thursday announced the appointment of vice president and controller Sharon Noland to chief financial officer.

The Maryland-based firm said in a statement that as CFO of Fila USA, the 46-year-old will also oversee Fila Canada and Fila Mexico financial reporting and will assume the role of CFO of Enyce.

"Sharon's drive and determination have made a positive impact on Fila USA," said CEO Tom O'Riordan.

"It is natural that she moves into this new role as she was instrumental in the reorganisation of Fila USA and central to the financial planning of Sport Brands International who recently completed the purchase of Fila and all of its subsidiaries."
