Fila Holding announced today the start-up of FilaNet, a wholly owned subsidiary of Fila, located in Peabody, Massachusetts.

The new company will manage worldwide Fila's Business-to-Consumer (B2C) project through a Sport & Life lifestyle portal (www.fila.com). The company will also manage the global e-commerce offers of both Fila and affiliated companies' products.

Mr Scannavini, CEO of Fila Holding, said: "FilaNet will enhance Fila's new positioning and dynamic approach to the market as well as seeking new business opportunities among the virtual community. The Sport-Life portal will be fully integrated with Fila's new retail programme starting in Spring 2001.

CEO of FilaNet is Vincenzo Russi. Mr Russi brings extensive experience in e-commerce projects, having served in Ernst & Young as vice president of its e-business service line. As project leader, he has helped many leading European corporations (including Ducati, Barilla, and Albacom) to develop their e-business strategy and execution.
