Italian fashion house Fingen Apparel, which currently produces sportswear under Cotton Belt, Calvin Klein and Guess licence, is to expand its production into children's clothing.

Managing director Antonio Arcaro believes children's wear, targeted at the 12 to 16 age range, will account for half its turnover by the beginning of 2005.

The company also hopes to obtain franchise rights to run Calvin Klein and Guess single brand stores in Europe until 2004.

In October 2003 it will open a store for Calvin Klein children's clothing, and Guess and Cotton Belt sportswear in Rome.
