A search is underway to find a successor to Castleton

UK fashion retailer French Connection has announced the departure of its finance chief, Adam Castleton, just months after issuing a profit warning.

In a statement to the London Stock Exhange, the company said Castleton had decided to step down from the board and take up a position with LSL Property Services as chief financial officer.

French Connection said a search for his replacement is underway and that an announcement on Castleton’s departure date will be made "in due course".

In March, the group cut its full-year operating loss but saw retail sales tumble by 12% on the back of store closures. A month later it saw its share price decline after warning its full-year performance will be below market expectations, but said it will continue to "implement positive change" across the business.
