Freshtex International is to open its latest subsidiary in Verona, Italy in mid-September. The new facility will focus on textile design and development services, and is strategically sited alongside a laundry and dyeing unit.

Freshtex, a member of Germany's Alt group, offers a range of washing and dyeing treatments, along with special finishes and effects, and says Freshtex Italy will focus on design and styling activities and work closely with nearby Italian fashion and textile businesses.

Later this year, Freshtex will open its first subsidiary in China. The firm has also launched Freshtex Apparel, which offers textile production out of company-owned plants in Romania, Bulgaria and Indonesia.
