Employees working for US giant Fruit of the Loom at its two factories in Londonderry and Donegal fear their jobs could be on the line.
Speculation is rife that management is planning to close down the plants at Campsie, on the outskirts of Londonderry, and Buncrana in Donegal.
Fruit of the Loom employees are demanding to know whether their jobs are safe and say that the workforce has already fallen from over 3,000 workers to 600.
Workers say vacant jobs are not being filled and they want to know why a team of Americans is currently touring factories.
