G-III Apparel Group has inked a deal with Calvin Klein Inc to open Calvin Klein Performance stores and shop in shops selling women's apparel in the US and China.

The license is on top of the women's wholesale Calvin Klein Performance agreement the two firms agreed in 2007. G-III also said it has been awarded the rights to expand to additional countries throughout the world.

The stores will sell women's athletic and performance wear for activities such as yoga, running, tennis and biking, including pants, capris, shorts, tank tops, T-shirts, and hooded jackets.

"We believe that there is an excellent opportunity to leverage the power and recognition of the Calvin Klein brand to bring the performance line to a global audience of consumers," said Morris Goldfarb, chairman and CEO of G-III Apparel.

"We are very excited about the potential to roll these stores out in countries around the world."
