Morris Goldfarb, the chairman and CEO of G-III Apparel Group is joining the board of directors at Christopher & Banks Corporation.

“We are delighted to have Morris join our board and are confident we will benefit from his extensive apparel background, his broad industry knowledge and his operational experience,” said Larry Barenbaum, Christopher & Banks chairman and interim CEO.

G-III is an $800m manufacturer and distributor of outerwear, dresses, sportswear and women’s suits under licensed brands (including Calvin Klein, Sean John, Kenneth Cole, Cole Haan, Guess, Jones New York and Jessica Simpson), its own brands (Andrew Marc, Marc New York) and private label brands. It also operates retail stores under the Wilsons Leather name.

Minneapolis-based Christopher & Banks sells women’s clothing and operates 789 stores under the Christopher & Banks and CJBanks nameplates.
