Clothing retailer Gap is to open a multi-brand store in the US next year, the first time all three of the company's brands will be stocked in a single shop.

The group has completed a deal to take over the 11,855 sq m, three-floor former Saks department store site in the Galleria mall, Dallas.

Construction on the new store has just started, and is expected to be complete by next March. A Banana Republic branch will take the ground floor, with a Gap store on the first, including subsidiaries Gap Kids, Baby Gap and Gap Body as in-store areas, and Old Navy on the top floor.
