Neal Goldberg is joining Gap Inc as executive vice president for the company's Outlet Division. Mr Goldberg succeeds Ed Stair, who resigned the position.

Goldberg will report to Millard Drexler, president and CEO for Gap Inc. He will oversee all aspects of Gap Inc's outlet division, supporting the company's 196 Gap Outlet, Banana Republic Factory and Old Navy Outlet stores. The division's annual sales in fiscal 2000 exceeded $1bn.

Goldberg joins Gap from Intimate Brands where he served as a senior vice president and chief stores officer for Victoria's Secret Beauty stores. Prior to joining Intimate Brands, Goldberg served for more than 16 years with Macy's, where he was senior vice president and general manager for Macy's Herald Square flagship.
