The creative director of design at Calvin Klein, Tim Gardner, is rumoured to be making a move back to England to join the revitalised fashion group Burberry in place of the recently departed Roberto Manichetti.

One report on the Chic Happens website claims that the designer has already taken up post it Burberry.

Although the spokesperson at Burberry declined to comment, it is widely believed that Burberry chief executive, Rose Marie Bravo, has been holding talks with the Calvin Klein designer.

It is understood that London born Gardner is keen to return to England, and the departure of Manichetti, following a difference of opinion on the future if the Burberry brand, would create the perfect opportunity for him to make his return.

Gardner has worked at Calvin Klein for the past five years after serving at Italian fashion house Trussadi.
