Performance fabric specialist Garmatex Technologies has signed a five-year licensing agreement with Pro-Formance Insights, a Canadian company that makes cut-resistant base layer protection.

The agreement will see the Garmatex combine its moisture management fabrics and T3 gusset technology, which allows 360 degree mobility of the shoulder, with Pro-Formance's cut resistant technology.

"This is truly an amazing breakthrough. By combining PFI's patented cut resistant technologies with our moisture management fabrics and patented T3 gusset technology, this is truly the convergence of two superior technologies combined into one phenomenal product," said Garmatex CTO Doug Thom.

"Whether you're a hockey player trying to prevent skate cuts or a police officer exposed to a dangerous situation, you now have the ultimate in comfort, performance and protection built into one product."

PFI products safeguard against serious lacerations in sports, law enforcement and other high-risk professions and are sold under the Bodyarmour and Base360 brand names.
