India's garment exports to quota countries including the US and the EU rose two per cent in quantity terms and seven per cent in value terms during November compared to the year-ago period, figures revealed on Monday.

Data from the Apparel Export Promotion Council showed exports in value terms grew to $294 million from $274.8m last year and rose to 83.6 million pieces from 82 million pieces in 2001.

It added clothing exports in the January to November period were up around 10 per cent mainly due to strong US orders which have grown up to 40 per cent in value terms during 2002 from last year.
