India's export market for ready-made garments enjoyed growth of almost 11 per cent in value terms last month to $324 million compared to $292.2m in the same month last year, it was revealed on Monday.

Figures from the Apparel Export Promotion Council (AEPC) also showed that during April garment exports in terms of quantity climbed 16 per cent to 94 million pieces from 80.8 million pieces in the same month last year.

Exports to the US rose 20 per cent in value terms to $154m versus $129.7m, while exports to the EU rose 14.6 per cent to $136m from $118.7m in the same period a year ago. However APEC pointed out the exports to the US for the first four months of the year were down five per cent to $630m.
