China's export value of garment and accessories rose in the first quarter of this year as compared with the same period of last year, Asia Pulse reported.

According to statistics from the customs, the total export value of garments and accessories was $7.531bn in the first quarter, rising 3.4 per cent year-on-year.

Of this, the export value of woven garments and accessories was $4.211bn, up 5.7 per cent, and that of knitted garments and accessories was $2.585bn, down 5.5 per cent.

The top four destinations of China's export of garments and accessories in the first quarter were Japan, Hong Kong, USA, and Europe.
