Indian knitted garment manufacturer Pratibha Syntex has been recognised for its sustainability practices by value retailer C&A.

The company was awarded the 'Best Global Supplier of the Year Award' for 2016 by C&A at its Global Supplier Summit in Hong Kong.

"We are honoured to have got this prestigious award from C&A," says Shreyaskar Chaudhary, managing director, Pratibha Syntex. "To thrive in this highly competitive business, we knew we had to improve operations by leaps and bounds and offer a quick response model to our customers."

Chaudhary adds Pratibha has been working with C&A on various initiatives including community development and sustainable product innovation, and the award has been a "great incentive and motivation".

Incorporated in 1997, Pratibha Syntex is a manufacturer and exporter of knitted garments and speciality yarns. Its manufacturing facilities are located in Pithampur, near Indore.

Along with C&A, the company also works with US outdoor brand Patagonia.
