Gen X Clothing stores around Salt Lake County have been raided by US Customs agents as part of a bid to stop the trade in counterfeit clothing.

Officers issued with multiple search warrants seized jeans from at least one store, possibly for putting brand-name tags on counterfeit products, television station KSTU, Fox 13, reported.

The crackdown is part of an effort by the US Customs Department to stop the teen clothing retailer from selling expensive brand-name clothing labels being counterfeited nationwide.
