Gerber Technology has integrated its YuniquePLM software with that of Texbase in a move designed to help companies simplify their delivery of innovative and socially responsible apparel products.

Texbase offers a complementary solution to YuniquePLM's feature set by providing a detailed way to automate and certify compliance requirements, manage colour approval and lab dip tracking, manage materials and testing for development and quality assurance as well as secure collaboration with supply chain partners.

"The synergy between our solution and YuniquePLM results in a win-win for mutual customers," says Joe Walkuski, CEO of Texbase. "Used in conjunction with YuniquePLM, customers are able to fulfil their complex material, testing and compliance requirements and simplify the way brands achieve transparency across their supply chain. The integrated solutions will help companies gain detailed insight into their supply chain empowering them to be proactive when making strategic decisions."

Clayton Parker, manager of PLM product management for Gerber Technology, says the partnership is built upon a shared goal of helping customers simplify processes, increase efficiency and enable collaboration.

"With Texbase, brands, retailers and manufacturers are able to achieve greater innovation, product integrity and corporate social responsibility through increased visibility and traceability throughout the supply chain."

The partnership will be presenting at Gerber's Ideation2016 software conference from 29-30 September at the Ritz Carlton South Beach, Miami.

Last month the company announced another tie up offering a new way for designers and retailers to easily specify threads, after integrating American & Efird's (A&E) products into the latest version of its YuniquePLM technology.
