• Q3 net income rose 21.9% to EUR12.8m
  • Sales grew 21.9% to EUR178.4m
  • Raised its full-year sales target

German women's wear retailer Gerry Weber saw net income rise 21.9% over the third quarter as sales rose following new store openings.

The company said net income reached EUR12.8m (US$16.8m) over the quarter ended 31 July, against EUR10.5m in the same period of the prior year.

Sales grew 21.9% to EUR178.4m. The company attributed the growth to the addition of Wissmach stores earlier this year, as well as newly opened Gerry Weber stores. Some 69 Wissmach stores have so far been converted, mostly to its Taifun and Samoon banners.

The company has increased its full-year sales target from EUR795m to EUR800m.
