Ghost, the upmarket womenswear brand, is to open its first factory outlet store by the end of December, Retail Week reported.

The store, to be based in Hampshire, will be used to offload excess stock and could offer up to 90 per cent discounts. Ris Fatah, Ghost#;s finance director, said there are no plans to open more factory outlets.

Ghost has four standalone stores, two in the UK and one in both New York and Los Angeles. It also has concessions at Selfridges and Harvey Nichols, with two new concessions due to open next year at Liberty and Dublin#;s Brown Thomas.
