The private-label athleisure line has launched on Groupon

Discount buying website Groupon has launched a private-label women's athleisure apparel line in the US in a bid to tap into the growing trend, and as part of an expansion of its fitness-related deals business. 

The range, named Form+Focus, will be exclusively available through Groupon Goods, the company's consumer products channel, and includes items such as tops, leggings, shorts, bras and capri pants ranging in price from US$11.99 to $22.99 as part of a launch deal.

"We've seen significant demand for this type of clothing – especially given the popularity of our local fitness-related offers," says Jacob Hawkins, vice president, Groupon Goods North America. "Form+Focus offers women a variety of options for any activity. It's a natural next step for us to offer customers the opportunity to enhance their workouts with a collection of quality activewear at an incredible value."

The Form+Focus range is available in a wide range of colours and sizes. It will be the group's sixth private-label brand and fourth apparel line. Others include women's apparel, footwear and accessory brands Sociology and Olive Street, and men's apparel, footwear and accessories brand Oak & Rush.

According to the Private Label Manufacturers Association, sales of private-label store brands reached a record $118.4bn in the US last year.
