Gymboree Company's net sales for the 2005 financial year increased 14%, with comparable store sales jumping 9%.

The children's clothing retailer posted yearly sales of US$678.5m, compared to $594.5m in 2004.

For the fourth quarter, net sales were $206.4m, an increase of 17% compared to $175.8m in the same period in 2004. Comparable store sales for the quarter increased 14% over last year.
 
The retailer expects income from continuing operations in the 2006 financial year between $1.16 and $1.20 per diluted share. It expects comparable store sales  of mid-single digits and expects earnings from continuing operations to be in the range of $0.28 to $0.30 per diluted share for the present first quarter.
