Iconix Brand Group Inc, owner of brands such as Candie's, Joe Boxer, Rampage and Mossimo, has posted a 32% jump in second quarter profit on higher sales, and lifted its revenue guidance for the year.

Net income for the three months to 30 June climbed to $19.3m or $0.30 per share, from $14.6m or $0.24 per share a year earlier.

Revenue was $56.4m, a rise of 9% on last year's $51.7m.

Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) for the quarter was $41.8m, a 19% increase over the prior year's $35.2m.

Neil Cole, chairman and CEO said: "We continued to grow market share for many of our brands with a substantial increase driven by the successful roll-out of our OP, Starter and DanskinNow brands at Walmart."

The company lifted its full year revenue guidance to $223-$230m, up from earlier forecasts of $218-$225m, and reiterated its earnings per share outlook of $1.30 to $1.35.
