New Zealand based high-tech merino wool clothing company Icebreaker has named former Nike executive Keryn Francisco as its new global product design director.

“Keryn is a top design talent and we are thrilled to welcome her to Icebreaker,” said vice president of product, and creative director Rob Achten. “She will bring great energy and inspiration to our design team.”

Francisco spent the last six years at Nike Inc, serving as global design director – women’s training from 2008 to 2010, and design director – US women’s sportswear from 2004 to 2008. She has also worked for Blue Marlin and Levi Strauss, as well as founding CYA Skatewear.
