Spanish textile giant Inditex Group has confirmed it will expand its logistics facility in Tordera-Palafolls, Barcelona, through a EUR190m (US$259m) investment.

The company told just-style the expansion will create 500 new jobs, adding to a current workforce of 950, and grow the site's distribution capacity by 60%.

Its 160,000 square metre Tordera-Palafolls facility distributes Inditex' Berhska, Massimo Dutti and Oysho brands.

Under the investment plans, Inditex will build a new logistic centre at Tordera with a surface of 100,000 square metres.

An Inditex spokesperson said the investment would be complete by 2015, with 70% of development taking place over the next two years.
