Patricia Ippoliti and Aaron Fleishaker have joined United Retail Group as senior vice presidents of human resources and real estates, respectively.

Ippoliti most recently held the same position at Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spas and had previously had the same title at International Specialty Stores. She's also held human resource posts at Zentropy Partners, the e-marketing division of Interpublic Group of Companies, AON Consulting, KB Toy Stores and Reebok.

Raphael Benaroya, chairman and chief executive officer of the Rochelle Park, NJ-based women's plus-size specialty chain, called Ippoliti "a seasoned human resources executive with strong organisational and leadership development skills."

He indicated her top priorities will be recruiting and strengthening both leadership and creative talent as the seeks to improve same-store sales, open new stores and expand its Avenue Body and Shop at Home businesses.

Fleishaker joins United from DJM Asset Management where he served as senior managing director.

Earlier, he was executive vice president of KIMCO Realty Corp, where his duties included the redevelopment and re-leasing of more than 30 former Kmart locations. He's also held legal and real estate posts with Modell's Sporting Goods and Dresses for Less.

United Retail Group operates 490 large-size women's specialty stores doing business under the Avenue banner.
