The Irish Linen Guild has launched its new look web site this month with plans to build on the 6-7000 visitors a month viewing the site since its original launch in 1997.

Cathy Martin, marketing manager of The Irish Linen Guild said: "Our original site had been around for four years and although the content was still relevant, it needed a more modern design.

"We worked closely with our web designers to give it a more contemporary look with easier navigation and full hyper links to all our members in the Members' Directory".

Information contained on the site includes the history and making of Irish Linen as well as the benefits of the fabric in fashion and in the home.

It also features a wash and care section and a news and events page where visitors can read about the latest trends and developments in the linen industry.

As well as links to members, the site is also linked to the Fabric Ireland website which is a linen and wool apparel weaver site.
