Japan’s Itochu Corporation has won the exclusive rights to import and sell the full range of Nina Ricci products in the country.

The agreement with the French fashion house, negotiated by Itochu president and CEO Masahiro Okafuji, also covers the master licence rights to the Japanese market.

Itochu said it would market various Nina Ricci products via the locally based Coronet Corporation, starting with the 2012 spring-summer collection.

Women’s wear products imported and distributed by Coronet would be sold at department stores, speciality stores and multi-brand stores, Itochu said, with a plan to increase sales to JPY8.5bn (US$108.2m) over the next five years.
