Following a successful pilot, retailer J Crew has put Freeborders' iPDM software version 2.5 into operation throughout the company.

"It is essential that we continue to reduce cycle-time through improved collaboration both internally and with our global trading partners," said Richard Zielinki, vice president quality and technical services for J Crew.

iPDM helps companies manage the entire product development process from line assortment planning to product approval and selection. Its latest version is also being leveraged by other large retailers including Williams-Sonoma and The Apparel Group (TAG).

"iPDM gives retailers like J Crew a strong advantage by increasing revenue through reduced cycle time, cutting design and development costs, and increasing  control over their overall product development process," said Ramsey Walker, CEO of Freeborders.
