Apparel and shoes chain J Crew said three directors including its co-founder are leaving the company.

Co-founder Emily Scott and her husband Thomas Scott are leaving on 2 December for personal reasons while Bridget Ryan Berman is leaving on 26 December to become chief executive of Giorgio Armani's US subsidiary.

"Emily's contributions to J.Crew have been countless from the day the company started in 1983," said chairman and CEO Millard Drexler.

"Everyone at J.Crew wants to thank both Emily and Tom for their insight and support over the years… It has been really nice to work with Bridget over the last year."
