French fashion label Jean-Paul Gaultier has signed a licence agreement with Italy's Gibo for the production and distribution of the French fashion label's women's wear range from the autumn/winter 2013-2014 collection.

It follows an announcement by Jean Paul Gaultier and another Italian company, Aeffe, earlier this week that they would not be renewing their production and distribution agreement "by common consent." This agreement ends with Jean Paul Gaultier's spring/summer 2013 collection.

"The road leads me to Florence again, to my first love", said Jean Paul Gaultier, a reference to Gibo having produced the label's collections between 1981 and

Gibo's portfolio of luxury fashion brands already includes Jil Sander, Rochas, John Galliano, Roberto Cavalli, Paul Smith and Véronique Branquinho.
