The fate of the Kew 159 chain has been decided after owner Robinson Webster Holdings told just-style that one-third of the retail stores are being changed to the group's Jigsaw women's wear brand, while the remaining stores will be assigned to third parties.

The move comes two months after Robinson Webster Holdings said it was planning to either sell or close the Kew 159 stores to focus on its core Jigsaw business after admitting the chain had "struggled to become profitable in difficult trading conditions."

The Kew fascia was launched in September 2003 and was relaunched as Kew 159 last year.
