Jimmy Choo, one of the most exclusive and fastest growing designer shoe and handbag retailers in the UK, is to use Intentia's Movex Fashion system to help accommodate its global expansion and increasing wholesale requirements.

Movex Fashion, a collaborative enterprise management solution, will support Jimmy Choo as it grows through its own shops and high-end department stores. The first phase of the Movex v12 implementation - order tracking - Is to be completed within an eight week time-scale, with the entire implementation to be finished by the end of 2002. 

Chris Houghton, fashion sector manager at Intentia, said: "Movex will allow Jimmy Choo to increase its profitability through better stock control and supply-chain collaboration, which will further develop its retail network both within the UK and globally." 

Founded in 1996, Jimmy Choo's merchandise is only sold at the world's most exclusive high-end stores such as Bergdorf Goodman and Saks Fifth Avenue in the United States; Joyce in Hong Kong; Isetan in Japan; Harvey Nichols and Harrods in the United Kingdom. There are also four stand-alone Jimmy Choo boutiques in London, New York, Beverly Hills and Las Vegas. Jimmy Choo employs 20 people and has an annual turnover of USD 21 million.
