Clothing company Jones Apparel Group has revamped its senior management structure in a bid to grow its footwear business.

Rhonda Brown, former CEO of the footwear, apparel and retail group, has left the company, with two executives taking over aspects of her role.

Andrew Cohen has been promoted to CEO, wholesale footwear and accessories, while Heather Pech takes over as CEO, company-owned retail footwear and apparel.

Both will report to president and CEO Peter Boneparth, who said: "I am confident that this new management structure will enable us to better leverage Andy's and Heather's considerable experience and leadership skills.

"This, in turn, will enhance our ability to solidify and grow our footwear, accessories and retail businesses."

In March, Jones announced that it was considering a possible sale of the company and had retained Goldman, Sachs & Co to assist with the process.
