Textile companies in Pakistan are being offered attractive trade incentives by Jordan. Jordan's free trade zones allow restriction-free textile exports to all developed countries, particularly the US.

The package was unveiled by the honorary consul general of Jordan, Mohammad Farrukh Qaisar. He said Jordan had always had an edge over Pakistan in terms of bilateral trade, and that exports from Pakistan were less than those imported from Jordan.

He added that his government had embarked on a comprehensive plan to transform the Aqaba region into a world-class free port.
