Kellwood Company, the $2.4 billion multi-divisional marketer of apparel and recreational camping products, and Perry Ellis International Inc have amicably agreed to end the licensing agreement for Perry Ellis women's sportswear. According to Peter A Goodman, chief executive officer of the company's Kellwood New England division: "We believed in the brand, in the product, and had a talented team supporting it. The line was produced for three seasons, but due to the overall slowness at retail, the business was only modestly successful."
