Branded apparel designer and marketer Kenneth Cole Productions on Tuesday revealed it has agreed a licensing deal with Haggar Clothing Co for Kenneth Cole men's trousers in the US.

The New York-based company said in a press release the line will be offered at retail for Fall 2003 to better department stores and Kenneth Cole and Reaction retail stores. Financial terms were not revealed.

"Introduction into the men's classification pant business is an exciting opportunity for Kenneth Cole Productions," said Paul Blum, president of Kenneth Cole Productions.

"We are confident our brand recognition, design aesthetic and renowned marketing will make a significant difference to attract a younger and more modern customer to the men's classification area in department stores."

Haggar president and COO, Frank Bracken, added: "The strength of the Kenneth Cole brand coupled with the long-standing expertise in innovative fabric development, modern silhouette design and quality workmanship of Haggar provides us with a strong business opportunity that extends into multiple distribution channels at retail."
