Andy Simister, brand president at French lifestyle label Lacoste Chaussures, has left the company to explore new opportunities.

Simister, who left at the end of last month, had led the Lacoste footwear business since 1998.

Richard Newcombe, vice president of global sales at Lacoste, and CFO Paul Webber, will head the business on an interim basis.

Andy Rubin, CEO of Lacoste's global licensee Pentland Brands, said: "I would like to thank Andy for his tremendous contribution to our business, and we wish him great success in his future ventures."
