Twelve managers from companies in the Iranian leather industry are heading to Italy this autumn to for a two-week training course aimed at improving the quality of their leather and shoes.

The director-general of the Textile and Clothing Department of the Ministry of Industries and Mines, Golnar Nasrollahi, told the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA), that the exchange is part of an agreement inked between the two countries last year.

She added that Italian leather specialists will also be visiting Iran to survey its leather industry and assess it potential.
