Casual wear business Lee Cooper is planning to set up a joint venture with one of the Pantaloon group's units, press reports said.

The two businesses apparently want to float a 50:50 venture that would involve sale of a whole product range including clothes, shoes and accessories.

It is not yet known which Pantaloon arm Lee has been talks with, but lifestyle company Indus-League Clothing is being touted as a possiblility.

Indus-League announced in September it would take a stake in a joint venture with Liberty Shoes as part of its growth strategy.
