Lindex CEO Larsson has stepped down with immediate effect

Swedish fashion retailer Lindex has appointed Elisabeth Peregi as interim chief executive officer following the resignation of Ingvar Larsson.

Peregi, currently country manager of Lindex Sweden, takes up the role with immediate effect, replacing Larsson who will be available during his period of notice.

Peregi has previously held several management positions at Lindex, including chief financial officer from 2010 to 2013 and, before that, as head of franchise business and country manager for Norway.

She will report to Lauri Veijalainen, CEO at the company's parent Stockmann Group, who is also set to become chairman of the Lindex board of directors. Previous chairman Per Sjödell continues as a member of the Stockmann board.

"I would like to thank Ingvar for his excellent work in leading the company and strengthening the Lindex position as one of the leading European fashion chains," says Veijalainen. "I am confident the company will continue to be in good hands with Elisabeth who has long experience in demanding sales positions at Lindex, a strong financial background and the drive to lead the company forward."
