Lion Capital has acquired US premium denim brand Paige Denim

Investment firm Lion Capital has confirmed it has bought a stake in US premium denim brand, Paige Denim, from its private equity owner TSG Consumer Partners.

California-based Paige Denim has a presence in over 80 countries globally, operating mainly via department stores and through its eight flagship stores in the US. It was launched by Paige Adams-Geller in 2004.

In 2012 private equity investor TSG took a stake in the company. At the time TSG said the deal would allow it to fund future growth opportunities that would further develop the Paige brand. TSG also added the transaction would allow it to grow its presence in the fashion apparel and accessories space.

Today (4 October) a spokesperson for Lion Capital confirmed to just-style the company had acquired Paige Denim. No further details regarding transaction value or the size of the stake acquired were disclosed.

TSG declined to comment when approached by just-style.
