Off-price specialist fashion retailer Loehmann's has selected ProfitLogic's Markdown Optimization solution to help improve its merchandising processes.

ProfitLogic's solution will be implemented across Loehmann's 51 stores throughout the US .

The solution is hoped to improve the chain's merchandising processes by gaining earlier visibility and taking quicker action on underperforming merchandise, freeing up open-to-buy dollars, and providing customers with fresher merchandise in-season.

Loehmann's chief executive officer Robert Friedman said the company believed the solution would allow it to carry out markdown strategies with more effectiveness.

Friedman added: "This will increase our inventory turnover and productivity, while continuing to provide great value to our customers."

ProfitLogic provides Retail Profit Optimization solutions designed for retailers whose top priority is getting the highest return on inventory investments.  It provides solutions to a wide range of retailers such as American Eagle Outfitters, AnnTaylor, Bloomingdale's, Charming Shoppes, The Children's Place and Gap Inc.
