Womens wear retailer Long Tall Sally is considering the possibility of standalone stores for its Tall Zone range after a flood of interest from customers, bosses have announced.

Launched last year, Tall Zone is targeted at young, fashionable under-25s. Although only 10 of Long Tall Sally's 27 stores offer the complete range, which is also available though mail order, elements of the range are available in all of its outlets.

According to managing director Judy Rich, expansion plans for Long Tall Sally are likely to focus on larger stores for the future in the UK, where there is still room for potential growth, but "we are not looking yet", she said.

The company's growth so far has been accomplished though internal funding, although the firm may consider external finance to assist with growth plans. Expansion into Europe may also be considered.
