Polish clothing designer and retailer LPP plans to invest approximately US$3-5m by opening 10-15 more shops in Russia and the Ukraine during 2006.

The company's deputy chief executive and financial director Dariusz Pachla has told just-style that LPP projects to increase the number of its outlets by 8-10 shops in Russia, and 3-5 shops in the Ukraine.

Pachla said: "It is a very big opportunity for us to take part in the development of the retail sector in both countries."

LPP will open shops in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Niznyj Nowgorod, Kazan, Ekatirenburg, Samara, Krasnodar in Russia, and in Kijew, Odessa in the Ukraine. Fulfillment of the plan depends on the agreements of leases already signed and those in progress. 

The majority of LPP shops will sell garments of Reserved brand, with some using the second garments brand - Cropp.

The company has operated since 1995, has stores in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Russia, Hungary and Ukraine. The company's consolidated net sales revenue for 2005 increased 25% year-on-year to PLN686m.
