French luxury goods company LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton has tapped former Giorgio Armani executive Caroline Brown as CEO of Donna Karan International.

Joining the company in January, Brown will succeed Mark Weber who, after eight years in the role, is to become a consultant for LVMH.

LVMH group managing director Toni Belloni said: "Mark has brought his steady hand to the organisation, and led the business to seize new opportunities."

Brown most recently served as president of global fashion and fragrance business Carolina Herrera. Prior to this, she worked at Swiss fashion brand Akris, Giorgio Armani and Bidermann Industries.
