Fast-growing Spanish fashion chain Mango is launching itself on to the Egyptian market with a store in capital city Cairo on 29 June.

The store is located in a commercial centre and covers an area of 500 square metres.

Mango, reportedly the first Spanish fashion chain to expand into Egypt, is currently focusing into expanding into northern Africa as one of its strategies.

The company, which opened 87 new stores in 2004, made 73 per cent of its sales in the year overseas.
